“My Core, Integrity & Journey” was made as a tribute to the first love-of-my-life, my mom, now in the advanced phases of Alzheimer's; my core of who I am today. This ever evolving piece (formerly, My Core & My Integrity, 2016) helps me remember her and how much she is of me; a constant reminder that the best thing I can do for her and myself is to live a life with grounded courage that she would be proud of having herself. This piece centers on finding ground throughout an ever-happening journey, building trust within myself and facing the future with courage.  I fondly call this female figure, “Auntie Puma.”
